2007-8 End of Season Awards

We've reached the end of the season and its now time to reflect upon things past. Thanks to everyone who has supported the Burne Bloodhounds this season. The Masters decided to present two engraved hip flasks at the closing meet (complete with sloe gin!) to two very special hunt followers.

The first award was for the person whose confidence has grown massively during this season. This award went to Bev Courtney who has progressed from riding at the back of the field to the front alongside the fieldmaster and is now confident enough to tackle any obstacle put in her way...well done Bev!

The second award was given to the person who has turned out regularly and correctly during this season. This award went to Joanne Foster and 'Sidney' who have looked immaculate every time they follow the bloodhounds and are an excellent example to other followers. Well done and keep it up next season Joanne!

Charity Meet at Butterley Grange, Swanwick

A hunt breakfast at Butterley Grange on Sunday 30th December 2007, cooked by an army of volunteers, raised a total of £420 for The Special Care Baby Unit. This was our host, Mr Tim Godkin's, chosen charity.

Tony Whaling from Equipics Event Photography attended the charity meet and took some beautiful pictures of the hunt which followed.  Thank you to everyone who supported us.
